![]() We've been spreading Christmas out this year and it's keeping us busy busy. Sunday got together with my mom's family since we won't see them on Christmas day. We had to leave earlier than we planned because it started thunder storming. He rode the carousel and saw the penguins. They have part of the zoo decorated with lights and other decorations. Saturday night we went to the Wild Lights at the Zoo. We might have a basketball player on our hands! He was NOT happy when we left the court. After Santa he colored with Grandpa and Grandma and then we played basketball. Unfortunately, I didn't get a good picture, but he was funny. He schmoozed at the work party and then sat through dinner at the next. As usual AJ was a trooper through all of the events. My old work invited us to theirs and we had a dinner with Santa. When we drive around the neighborhoods he points out the window and ohhh's and ahhhh's and oh wow's at all the lights on houses.įriday we had two Christmas parties to go to. Actually - they told us it would hold 25 people, but it was more like 15. It was a cold night but we snuggled up and stayed warm. The next Thursday we took a hayride through O'Fallon's Celebration of Lights for my mom's birthday. I think she might give her sister some competition. We got to go meet little Cameron on Sunday and she is cute as a button. That week AJ's girlfriend got a new baby sister. So we left empty handed and stopped at a tree lot on the way home where we got a very pretty tree. We must be too picky because we could not find a tree that we liked. ![]() We walked and walked and walked and walked. The tree lot we went to was huge - 80 acres of hills. Then Sunday we decided to Griswold it up and go chop down our own Christmas tree. ![]() The Saturday after Thanksgiving we had our annual Christmas Vacation Party and AJ dressed like Cousin Eddie (pictures on Picasa). He had lots of fun playing with his cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. We made it to both family's celebrations and got a nap in between (well AJ did). It seems like we're always on the go and the month of December has just flown by - starting at Thanksgiving. We've been super busy lately, but I'm not sure with what. His answers are usually " noooooo" then "why?" then "oh ya!" He also has a trend for answering questions. You will need to turn up your speakers because it's pretty quiet. It's not even close to snowman, but he says it every time with confidence. ![]() He comes pretty close on every word except snowman. We've been working on Christmas words - Merry Christmas, Christmas tree, snowman, Santa Claus, reindeer, etc. AJ is learning new words every day and talking our ears off. ![]()
